Snail 7 is a photograph of a single snail that has been digitally enhanced to give it an abstract vibe.
A single snail enjoying the calm of an early morning. Snails belong to the class Gastropoda, a classification that includes; sea snails, slugs, freshwater and of course land snails. Snails' ancestors are one of the earliest known types of animals in the world. There is even fossil evidence of primitive gastropods dating back to the late Cambrian period. This means that snails have lived nearly 500 million years ago. The most popular snail that many are familiar with is simply called the garden snail. You can often see 'snail trails' shining on sidewalks proving that although they are typically in hiding, they were once right there.
I personally am fascinated with snails and try to capture their beauty whenever I can. A fairly recent popular children's movie has also helped solidify their fascination among many including both children and adults.
Kristalin Davis personally favors a more abstract take on ordinary places, animals, and objects. She also enjoys art that is on the eccentric side and off the beaten path of typical. Kristalin believes a little 'strange' makes people truly think and question the norms of life. Kristalin is the author of the children's fiction The Legend of Scarlett and Ryman. She also writes occasionally for Vocal. http://kristalin-davis.pixels.com All artwork is Copyright 2010-2023. Please support artists by purchasing their work through reputable sites like this one.
